The ocean waters of Cape Town, the South Atlantic, are very cold. Camps Bay, Table Bay, Clifton and the peninsular waters are very cold, often below 10 Celsius. False Bay waters are generally warmer, sometimes reaching temperatures around the low 20s in summer and therefore more agreeable for a quick dip.
