Throughout the hosting of the World Cup 2010, Backpacking facilities will be available. The venue will be accommodating up to 200 people at time. This will allow for good times and exchanging of stories and experiences with fellow football supporters from around the world. Through the last three years we have build up a relationship with overland companies, guides and individuals that keeps on returning and now call it their home, as a matter of fact about 80% of our visitors are returning visitors, people that came for a day and stayed for a week, guides that is tired of the road stays here to unwind and find them self again, but they always return to the road, cause it?s like a magnet, it?s a lifestyle a never ending story.

We are not a 5 star hotel, we provide good clean accommodation, home cooked meals and a family atmosphere, you will arrive here as a stranger and leave as a friend.
There is people that came here and expected the chocolate on the pillow when they go to bed, to have their coffee being brought to them in bed, but that is not who we are ,we are a backpacker for backpackers that know what backpacking is about and that are familiar with the backpacker industry

Recently we have decided to adopt a orphanage down the road with a total of roughly 75 kids, youngest about 6 weeks oldest 19, I am not saying that we have succeeded in improving their life standards but we are trying, we donate school books, pens, food whatever we can to make that small difference in a kids life we gave them a Christmas tree over Christmas, Santa clause and all the people here donated gifts and sweets. IT WAS GOOD.
So we are striving to make the orphanage work through tourism and sustainable development and to make a difference in a kid?s life at the end of the day.

So what is Mufasa?

The Thatchery - Guesthouse

Throughout the hosting of the World Cup 2010, Backpacking facilities will be available. The venue will be accommodating up to 200 people at time. This will allow for good times and exchanging of stories and experiences with fellow football
supporters from around the world. This all whilst enjoying an ice cold south African beer or wine in the true South African Bush styled pub on site equipped with big screen televisions showing the games.

There are 13 dormitories that are available that will accommodate from 8 people to 40 people at any one time. Each bed will have area available for the safe locking away of personal effects. There will be 24 hour armed security for the duration of the World Cup.

Breakfast will be available every morning from 7am till 10am, and it is entirely your choice to either eat in the restaurant, or outside on the veranda over looking the country style setting.

Lunch will be available on a daily basis, and shall be served in the "Thatchers Pub" that is situated within the grounds.

A variety of suppers will be on offer throughout the duration of your stay, where you will be able to enjoy the tastes and flavors of South African cuisine.

Secure transport will be available on request at a nominal charge, whether it be for a collection or drop of at the airport, or be it a trip to the shops, golf course, tourist sights, or more importantly to and from the football games.
