Please note that any bookings made during the World Cup period, 1 June to 8 July 2010 inclusive will require a 2 day minimum booking and full payment (including all bank charges or 5% credit card surcharge) within 3 days of us sending you the invoice and will be non-refundable. There is currently no on-line availability 9 June to 13 July inclusive as prices are based on length of stay.

Situated in a safe area with secure parking on site, 1322 is next door to the High Performance Centre at the University sports fields and a short walk from the lively suburb of Hatfield with its restaurants, nightclubs, shops etc. Most embassies are also in the immediate vicinity.

Pick-up rates from Johannesburg Airport (and anywhere else!) are excellent and we also offer bicycle hire, Baz Bus or free drop off/pick up car rental.

Ready and willing to help with all your travel plans, the 1322 travel advice service ensures you get great prices for tours including Kruger Park, Pilanesberg, Sun City, Soweto & Apartheid Museum etc.

Laundry facilities, ASDL internet, satellite television, braai (BBQ) area, boma (bonfire) and bar (with sport TV) all await you. Make use of our lovely garden and take in some sun and then dip in the stunning pool.

Rustle up your own meal in our fully equipped kitchen or have a beer while we do the cooking for you. Free tea and coffee is available all day and a light breakfast is included.

All the rooms have fans for the hot summer days and most have heaters for any chilly winter nights. The Lion and Lioness dorms have shoers attached and most beds have individual reading lights.

The showers are hot, the bed linen is provided and the mattresses are comfortable! The excellent staff works quietly but efficiently to keep everything impeccably clean and ready for use.

We have a great deal of flexibility so if you need more than one room please book one room and then contact us for your specific needs so we can make the necessary arrangements. Please also note that we reserve the right to change advance bookings of 1-2 nights for the en-suite to a normal double with shared bathroom.

Those booking who are of African nationality must pay the balance prior to arrival when requested and leave their id card and passports at reception for the full duration of their stay.

Bergheim Lodge - Guesthouse

Werner met and fell in love with a lovely young lady called Heidi. She was a
lawyer by profession and lived in Pretoria. They got married in December
2007 and Heidi, who is an avid nature lover decided to swap her lawyer's
degree for her passion for nature at Bergheim Lodge. Together with Werner
and her mother Gwen, Heidi is involved full time with Bergheim Lodge and
the safaris. It had always been Heidi's dream to partake in such a career.
The lodge is described as a family business and the aim is to make guests
feel like they are at a second home away from home. Heidi's son, Stiaan,
ensures that all guests are as comfortable as possible and have everything
they need. He also makes the children feel welcome and at ease. Heidi, who
has grown up on a farm believes that it is impertinent that a child or adult
should get in touch with nature and be close to it, as there are so many
lessons we as people can learn from nature.

We have been accommodating international exchange students and post-graduates since 2000. Many of these students come to Pretoria for various internships- our latest guest-students are working at the Centre of Human Rights. During your stay here you will get to know so much about South Africa's culture, people and history.

Jam Backpackers - Hostel

It's a great town - there are many open spaces where you can walk or mountain bike. Nearby is the Premier Game Reserve, next door to the Cullinan Diamond Mine, where the largest diamond in the world was found.

You could do a short horse trail at the Voortrekker Monument or through the Premier Reserve, taking a careful look at some white rhino and a number of eland - which are pretty much the size of a big horse. You could do a tandem skydive or a first jump at the Pretoria Skydiving Club, which is the largest in the country

We have a 10 en suite bedroom Urban Africa / Moroccan house that can accommodate 46 people sleeping. All the rooms are built around a large communal lounge and communal kitchen.

Each room also leads out to a patio outside the house. The large communal lounge is stacked with large cushions facing a massive fire place and 42inch plasma TV above it.

The communal kitchen is placed directly behind the fireplace and creates a 'amazing' warm country style atmosphere in the background.
