Cape Town Facts & Tips

Cape Town has a Mediterranean Climate

Summer is characterised by temperature maximums around the high 20° C but also reaching into the high 30° C. Winter hovers around the high teens with minimums dropping below 10° C. In winter trees and vineyards change to bright reds and yellows before losing their leaves as snow-capped mountain peaks in the interior embellish the beautiful landscape. In spring, the landscape goes to a lush green as the winter rains and sunlight spur the vegetation on. Spring is also a great time to see the wild flowers transform the deserts. Summer is hot and dry, with strong cool southeasterly winds hitting the turquoise waters of the oceans, drastic mountains and lush vineyards of Cape Town and the Western Cape making this a beautiful place to visit.
